Check out the concept of Beauty Dinners: carefully curated events that serve up insight, networking opportunities & connections for attendees

Bella Cary has always been drawn to the excitement of startups. The entrepreneur and make-up aficionado began her beauty industry journey in product development, and it was this experience that highlighted the need for a connective space, where industry individuals can share ideas and support one another.

In response, Bella started hosting intimate monthly supper clubs in Central London, bringing together groups of women from the beauty world to exchange insights and foster meaningful relationships. Since 2022, these gatherings have grown organically into Beauty Dinners: community events dedicated to supporting women in business with a shared passion for beauty.

“I started hosting the dinners while developing a make-up brush and tools business,” Bella shares. “I wanted to learn from others who could support my success and help me on my brand journey.” The first event was so insightful that Bella made the dinners a regular occurrence, and they now take place every month in London with up to 12 attendees.

“What excites me most about Beauty Dinners is that connections are formed around the table, leading to lasting opportunities.”

Bella continues: “Beauty Dinners are tailored to women who work in the beauty industry. Each event has a theme and involves a roundtable discussion with a focus question. A recent topic was ‘Social media in beauty: the double-edged sword of influence’, and attendees debated the benefits and downfalls of platforms in relation to their businesses.”

Guests enjoy a three-course meal, goody bag and prosecco. Towards the end of each dinner, they are invited to share a specific business need, such as finding a packaging manufacturer for a product or a reliable accountant. Bella then connects the guests via a WhatsApp group.

“What excites me most about Beauty Dinners is that connections are formed around the table, leading to lasting opportunities through mentorships, friendships and collaborations that might not have happened otherwise,” Bella adds. “Before each event, I chat to guests about their goals and create the seating plan accordingly, so they can get what they need from the experience.

Past Beauty Dinners topics:

• Customised beauty: exploring the future of personalisation.

• Democratising glamour: how affordable luxury is changing in beauty.

• Social media in beauty: the double-edged sword of influence.

• The evolution of anti-aging: redefining beauty at every age.

• The beauty blueprint for 2025: trends, innovation & the future of our industry.

“These individuals have such an openness about them and desire to help others in their own journeys, which creates a supportive and uplifting atmosphere.”

“I have met so many incredible people by organising Beauty Dinners: a mix of founders, freelancers and beauty professionals that love the industry. These individuals have such an openness about them and desire to help others in their own journeys, which creates a supportive and uplifting atmosphere.”

Bella’s vision is to launch Beauty Dinners in cities across the UK, before expanding globally. She is keen to build franchise and membership models, partner with brands and continue to give members access to great connections and experiences in beauty. “Beauty Dinners are about more than beauty; they’re about creating a space where ambitious women can grow their ideas and find support within a community that understands their visions,” she affirms.

TESTIMONIALS

“I feel listened to, seen and supported. It’s very rare you get a group of people together who have never met before and feel instantly connected.”

“I feel inspired after being surrounded by such warm and welcoming women. The energy was wonderful and I am excited to build on the relationships.”

“Feeling full of admiration and inspiration for the women around the table. Love the honesty and authenticity from everyone. I felt slightly apprehensive but relaxed as soon as I met Bella.”
