Nailympia China:
An overview
The 46th
Nailympia
was hosted by Kimi Chang, CEO of Shanghai Chiyan Abrasives Co & Muzer, in Shanghai, 8-9 May 2025. Her team warmly greeted the 28-strong army of international judges and VIP guests to the city for the first edition of
Nailympia China
, in a location with an original style that reflects Chinese culture: organised, friendly, gentle and relaxed.
With 115 competitors representing 13 countries, there were 257 competition seats taken across hand-in, online and arena categories: a huge success for Nailympia and its host. The event was an extraordinary experience filled with joy, connection and deep professional pride. To run this event alongside so many esteemed experts from the global nail industry was nothing short of inspiring.
The newly refined scoresheets and updated rules for 2025 proved their worth, delivering a smoother, more transparent experience for both competitors and judges. This made the competition more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
The reception that guests received exceeded all expectations, and both the Chinese and international guests were truly grateful for the chance to collaborate and blend Eastern and Western perspectives, styles, artistry and expertise. Over nine days, the international team and incredible Chinese hosts engaged in a meaningful exchange of ideas, techniques and visions for the future of nails.
It is without doubt that competitors and judges went home with more than just memories, but a feeling of value and the power of competition. The judges, fuelled by inspiration, left China with a shared and expanded knowledge, stronger friendships and the hope that powerful new alliances were formed.
Nailympia China felt like a true meeting of minds and hearts, alongside a celebration of all that matters in the world of nails on a global scale. We look forward with excitement to the second edition of this sensational event in 2026, with thanks to our fantastic host, Kimi Chang, and generous sponsors.
Host, Kimi Chang.
