Editor's Letter

T he Scratch Stars Party is still hot on the lips of the Scratch team, as we revelled in a celebration for the nail sector. Over 300 industry guests were welcomed to The Underglobe, London, for the annual event, which acknowledges creativity and excellence in the UK&I nail industry. Eighteen pros, teams and salons were presented with Scratch Stars Awards , and it was heartwarming to be surrounded by a community of professionals that supported one another and rejoiced in their successes.

At times during the event, I’ll admit that I became emotional, as I was overwhelmed with pride for the techs and businesses that work tirelessly to raise the standard of our sector. It is an honour to host these awards each year and learn more about the journeys of pros and brands, and the passion that drives them to perfect their crafts. Turn to page 24 to marvel at photos from the evening and read comments from this year’s Scratch Stars Awards winners.

Ever conscious and eager to champion nail professionals, we welcome a new columnist this month: Anastasia Totty, Season One champion of Scratch’s North America’s Star Nail Artist competition. Learn about her career journey and the meaning behind this month’s cover nails from page 16, and keep turning the pages to indulge in the successes of academy owners, students and Nailympia competitors.
