My nail journey
Most people know me by a nickname I had growing up: Master Weenay, which has since become my brand. I’ve been immersed in the nail industry since the age of nine, as I had family members working in the sector. After school, I would go to my mum’s salon and found myself fascinated by the nail technicians’ work. So, my mom started teaching me nail skills. Today, I’m fortunate to work from a private studio, educate nail artists and tend to the nails of celebrities.
I recently closed my salon in Anaheim, after an incredible chapter there, and this photo shows that space.
What makes me happy
Spending time with my dog and the people closest to me helps me recharge. I also enjoy trying new food, travelling and finding joyful moments outside of work.
FUN FACT I love singing. A lot of my celebrity clients have encouraged me to pursue music, and American Idol alum, Jennifer Hudson, told me I should audition for the show.
A day in my life
Some days I’m fully booked with six clients, while others start with an early morning celebrity house call. When I’m not doing nails, I’m answering emails, creating content, planning classes or mentoring.
ould audition for the show.
Signature style
I love creating whatever a client envisions – from clean, timeless natural nail looks to bold statement sets. However, I’m a particular fan of 3D nail art; I enjoy sculpting characters, flowers and other miniature designs that challenge my creativity.
TOP TIP Stay humble, kind and professional. Talent can open doors, but your reputation keeps them open.
Social media tips
1. Don’t be afraid to show your face. People connect with people, and your personality is part of your brand.
2. Reach out to artists, brands and potential clients, because you never know who’s watching or might respond.
3. Stay consistent. Even if a post doesn’t perform like you hoped, keep sharing your work as it could prompt your next opportunity.

Celebrity calling
I started working with influencers about seven years ago, and through word of mouth, I landed my first celebrity client: singer-songwriter, Kehlani. I like that every day is different as a celebrity nail artist. Whether I’m backstage, on set, travelling or getting a client ready for a red carpet, I experience a side of the entertainment industry that most people never see. Being part of those moments is hugely rewarding, and the exposure has allowed me to share my artistry worldwide.
Career highlights
Some of my biggest achievements are being booked to create nails for the 2026 Super Bowl, and travelling globally with clients on tour. Becoming an educator has been one of my most rewarding highlights. Helping nail artists build their confidence and successful businesses makes me proud.
