OPI nail pros: Jessica Price, Elisha Micallef & Charlotte Lowe.
The Stables in Covent Garden, London, was the venue for a two-day showcase of the Wella Company’s brands, which include OPI. Helena attended day one, where she witnessed trend talks, interactive brand experiences and a shade-matching service In the OPI pod. Members of the OPI team were on hand to detail OPI’s heritage and share information about its product offerings with influencers, customers and press, and Scratch front covers and features were framed to demonstrate the magazine’s involvement in sharing brand news with pros. Scratch Stars Social Media Star of the Year 2025 & OPI ambassador, Jessica White, shared how to elevate a brand through social content, and a celebration was held in the evening at the top of a skyscraper, where a catwalk show unveiled the talents of Wella professionals.
Making magic at Glitterbels HQ
Jess Watts took her first official steps into nail tekking at Glitterbels HQ in Stoke-on-Trent, training in gel polish application under the guidance of Scratch Stars Hall Of Famer, Danielle Brindley – who is also part of the multi award-winning Glitterbels Education Team. Jess learned how to prep nails, apply and remove gel polish and craft a French finish. Rebecca supported by capturing content of her progress and you can read all about their visit on page 64.
Mission: mani
The GelBottle Inc invited Jess Watts to London to celebrate the launch of its Heist autumn/winter nail colour collection. Jess explored the 10 shades, which capture daring, bold feelings, and received a mani courtesy of Milly Dorrington (@smudgenails). She chose the Mission gel polish shade: a deep, wine-toned hue with a high-shine finish.

Helena headed to the Covent Garden branch of nail salon brand, Townhouse, to experience the immersive beauty experiences offered as part of its collaboration with Pepsi MAX. At The Cherry Glow Bar, guests could enjoy limited edition Pepsi MAX-themed nail appointments inspired by the brand’s cherry-flavoured beverage. Downstairs, there was a custom drinks bar, and attendees could also immerse in cherry-themed makeovers.

Helena indulged in a chocolate brown and taupe nail design: perfect shades for autumn, courtesy of Dartford-based nail pro, Rebecca Ellis (@beckthenailteck). Never one to shy away from sparkle, details were added using gold glitter gel polish.
