Networking with The Best
The International Institute for Active Ageing (iiaa) HQ on the banks of the River Thames was the setting for the Beauty & The Best book trilogy celebration. Edited by Susan Routledge, the books feature advice from high-achieving industry pros – many of whom were in attendance. They were joined by members of Susan’s Beauty Directors Club and press, including Scratch’s Helena, and enjoyed a drinks reception and food while overlooking some of London’s iconic landmarks.

What we’re wearing...
Rebecca paid a visit to Tonbridge home salon owner, Emily Tinworth of The Glossed Studio (@byemilytinworth), for her Scratch Stars Party nails. Using Glossify shades, Emily created a confetti nail style, featuring pink, purple, gold and silver dots and stars.
Jess Watts utilised her gel polish training to create her nail design for The Scratch Stars Party. She paired Glitterbels Builder-bel Gel with the brand’s Chrome Mirror Powder and Halo Create Chrome in BeEmpowered to create this celestial-inspired look.
A funked-up French manicure has been sported by Jess Wilkie, who turned to her regular nail tech, Hazel Martin (@nailcreationsbyhazel), to create the style. Hazel used The GelBottle Inc’s Studio Gel™ in Blue Steel to paint the tip.
Inspired by a post on Instagram by @paiwaloves, Helena chose a paint palette-style nail art design to complement her Scratch Stars Party dress. Rebecca Ellis (@beckthenailteck) used an assortment of shades and finished the look with gold leaf.
Starry, Starry Night
The Scratch team proudly welcomed attendees to the biggest nail event in the industry calendar – The Scratch Stars Party – on Sunday 5 July. We sprinkled magic in the form of sparkling stars and confetti onto tables, and laid out goody bags for the 300 guests, who enjoyed an evening of canapés, cocktails and the presentation of the Scratch Stars Awards 2026. Helena hosted the event at London’s Underglobe alongside JLS legend, Aston Merrygold, while DJ Richelle, Liz Sax, Big Brovaz and Booty Luv provided entertainment. Hara at Hampton Manor
Nail, wax, lash and brow brand, Hara Professional, hosted its first Experience Day at a stunning venue in Solihull. Beauty professionals were invited to the event at Hampton Manor, where they enjoyed afternoon tea and goody bags in between listening to guest speakers. Scratch’s Helena served up a quick seminar on how to raise your professional profile, before nail tech, Viktoriia Malipatil, demonstrated Hara Builder Gel application. Scratch Stars Awards judge, Kayleigh Mackinnon, shared waxing techniques with Hara’s new wax products, and beauty business mentor, Susan Routledge, divulged strategies for salon success.
