Narelle Beauty
Location: Castleford, West Yorkshire
After deciding to downsize from a high street space, Narelle Wharton converted her garage into salon, Narelle Beauty, last year. “The conversion took around four months from start to finish,” Narelle says. “I am so lucky to have wonderful family members who were willing to help me.”
Narelle Beauty’s interior had some unexpected inspirations: the deep mauve of a limited edition Diet Coke can first captivated Narelle, before pink and red Glitterbels packaging solidified her vision. The result is a dusty rose and blush pink colour palette that is, in Narelle’s words, ‘dramatic and romantic, but very relaxing’.
The salon offers a multitude of nail and beauty services – from hard gel and L&P acrylic enhancements to lash lifts and waxing. “I use Glitterbels products for my nail treatments, as they spark my creativity and the brand reignited my passion for nails,” Narelle shares. Excitement remains high for the pro, following her appointment as a Glitterbels educator earlier this year. “I’m so thrilled about this new chapter,” she smiles.

Victoria’s Nails & Beauty
Location: Wainscott, Kent
“My salon was built by my husband, who put so much effort into making my dream a reality,” says Vicky Horne, owner of garden studio, Victoria’s Nails & Beauty. “It took around six months for him to create, and I wanted to provide the ultimate calm and relaxing experience for clients.”
Originally fitted out in grey, the salon has recently been refreshed with beige and neutral tones. “These colours are very popular, and I want to align with what’s on-trend,” Vicky shares. To aid relaxation, a TV on the wall allows clients to watch programmes of their choosing or unwind to music.
Victoria’s Nails & Beauty offers builder gel, gel polish and L&P acrylic manicures, alongside pedicures and brow and lash treatments. As a Halo VIP, Vicky uses the brand’s products and praises their ‘great retention and amazing pigmentation’, calling them ‘a joy to work with’.
The future looks bright for Vicky’s home salon, and the tech is committed to growth. “I plan on furthering my knowledge,” she reveals. “My clients deserve the highest quality and most up-to-date services I can offer.”
