Favourite nail design – I enjoy creating nail art that’s personal to the client. I’ve even painted a dog on nails when a client adopted a furry friend! It’s a great feeling to be part of their special moments.
Trained with – I’ve learned from some amazing educators during my time in the nail industry. I trained in Russian manicure techniques and builder gel application with Sam’s Nail Training, and completed luxury manicure and gel application courses with Hazel Dixon Nail Artist Academy educator, Nicola Parkes (@toughlovenailco). I’ve also enhanced my builder gel knowledge with Fran Butler of CJP Nail Systems, and attended nail art masterclasses hosted by the Nails-Luxe brand. My training has helped shape my techniques and boost my confidence.
Favourite products – The NIBOVI Maris Ultrasonic Machine and Instrument Disinfectant Powder have transformed my tool cleaning routine: They give me and my clients confidence that my tools are clean, hygienic and ready for each service.
Career ambition & vision – Being featured in Scratch has always been a dream, so this article feels surreal. This year, I also reached a huge milestone by becoming self-employed, and I’m excited to keep growing, learning and pushing myself creatively.
Who do you admire in the industry?
The nail community is supportive and welcoming, and I love being part of a group that shares knowledge and supports growth. I admire Maisie Jackson for creating spaces for us to network; her Nail Tech Soirées were the first industry events I attended solo, and have helped me build friendships in the nail world. I also admire the educators who have supported my journey.
