Getting to know Sophie Donaldson

Rebecca about her career journey. She gave an insight into the cover photo shoot, shared examples of her work and served up top tips for nail industry success.
Product demo: INK London Fusion Gel INK London educator, Agnes Dullo, offered an application demo of the brand’s Fusion Gel. The product combines the strength of iJel with the soft texture of Jelly Pro, and Agnes unveiled how the formula can be manipulated for natural nail and tip overlays, as well as sculpting.

Harriet Westmoreland & Daisy Kalnina
Managing editor, Helena, headed to an intimate London venue to celebrate the launch of TGB Spa, a range of bodycare products from The GelBottle Inc. The brand’s CEO & founder, Daisy Kalnina, detailed the ingredients used within each product, as well as how the packaging allows for quick, easy access to the formulas for pros performing mani and pedi treatments. TGB’s global brand ambassador, Harriet Westmoreland, shared her love for the products, particularly the Pillow Powder soak, and offered demos to attendees.
Helena and senior news & features writer, Rebecca, enjoyed a coffee and catch-up with Sofia Qureshi and Sue Omar from Vagaro, a software company that provides business management tools for the wellness industry. Sofia and Sue revealed the various benefits of the tools for nail and beauty pros, including an online booking system and the MySite custom website for businesses.
Rebecca was invited backstage at London Fashion Week by session nail stylist, Marie-Louise Coster, who headed up the nails for the Edward Crutchley show. Turn to page 60 to read all about her experience.

Art editor, Jess, chose a bold blue manicure to mark the start of spring. Crawley-based nail stylist, Hazel Martin of Nail Creations by Hazel, used The GelBottle Inc’s Cambridge Blue shade with a glossy top coat to finish.
