I am thrilled to welcome product architect, innovator and renowned nail professional, Danny Haile, to Scratch as this edition’s guest editor. Not only has he swept the global competition scene during his near 40-year career, but he has masterminded products that serve to increase efficiency and performance at the nail desk.

This year marks 15 years since Gelish made its debut in the nail industry, and what a wild and wonderful journey it’s been. Before Gelish became a product, the idea of a gel polish in a bottle had been swirling around in my head for years. I carefully considered how a formula could innovate the gel manicure process, and bringing my idea to life has been a dream come true.
Since the launch of Gelish, I have endeavoured to create exciting and innovative nail products. Nail technicians all over the world have supported the brand since its inception, and in turn I have made it my mission to create products that make nail applications faster and safer, while allowing nail techs to work smarter and with ease.
My ideas: gel products to electronics and everything in between, would not have amounted to what they are today without the support of the nail technicians who believe in Gelish. So, to all of you, I would like to say an enormous thank you for your loyalty and support over the years. Let’s make the next 15 years of Gelish and the nail industry even better!
