Nailympia San Antonio:
The results
This year’s Nailympia San Antonio was a great success, hosted at the Premiere San Antonio exhibition 15-16 September. It was exciting to see the event grow to three times its size in just its second year. Competitors travelled from Poland, Germany, Argentina and across the USA to showcase their talent and creativity in nail artistry. The judges were impressed, with 44 competitors submitting 143 entries across 11 competitions: four turn-ins and seven in the live arena.
The categories covered everything from pink & white L&P acrylic nails to flat painted art, extreme styling and salon nail sculpting, ensuring there was an event for every type of tech.
It has been an amazing journey to build up the competition scene in the USA, since partnering with Premiere Beauty Shows/The Informa Group in 2019. We collaborate throughout the year to create nail arenas that best suit the USA market, and it was wonderful to see so many new competitors stepping up to showcase their skills in Texas.
I would like to thank headline sponsor, Booksy, for the nail mats, files and gifts that were offered to gold medallists. Booksy also aligned with Nailympia on the judging panel with the presence of Michelle Soto, Hirsch Hunty, Kirsty Meakin and Jimena Montalban, who are global ambassadors for the brand. Americanails also gifted 60 desk lamps to help make the arena look stylish and inviting, and allow competitors to see their nail work clearly.
