A Euro-vision in bling
If you watched the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, you may have noticed Swedish hosts, Petra Mede and Malin Akerman, sporting long, bejewelled talons in a skit during the final. The nails, created by Swedish nail artist & influencer, Celina Rydén, took five days to create. With only 40 seconds between shots to showcase the nails, they were added to rings to easily slip onto fingers.

Queer Eye star, Jonathan Van Ness, supported actress friend, Nicola Coughlan, at a premiere event for season three of Netflix’s Bridgerton, in which she plays a lead role. The American hairstylist wore a nail design inspired by the programme’s Regency era setting, courtesy of Mei Kawajiri of @nailsbymei, featuring green leaf detailing and lilac sparkle.

COACHELLA CLAWS
Celebrity-loved California musical festival, Coachella, is known for its trend-setting fashion, hair, make-up and nail choices, and 2024 saw music lovers sport a range of styles.
For Bebe Rexha’s Coachella performance, celebrity nail tech, Nin of @sreyninpeng, used Aprés Nail products to craft a dimensional space-inspired manicure, featuring a dark base and aurora-effect centre, with silver chrome outlining.
Social media personality, Charli D’Amelio, was spotted wearing enhancements covered in silver rhinestones of various shapes and sizes. The eye-catching look was created by the celeb’s regular nail artist, Brittney Boyce of Nails of LA.
Actress & singer, Cynthia Erivo, turned to LA tech, Rose Hackle of @rosedoesmynails, for an encapsulated design created using OPI products. She used L&P acrylic for the base, adding natural earth elements directly to the nails, before applying OPI GelColor Stay Strong Base Coat and finishing with OPI GelColor Stay Shiny Top Coat for crystal clear transparency.
