My nail journey
I grew up in a family of artists, and started experimenting with nail art at the age of 11. I used to take distilled water from school science lessons to try the water marbling trend! I lived in Berlin, and was inspired by its fashion and art scene, so began doing nails professionally at 19. Back then, nail art wasn’t popular, so initially I offered it for free to help clients see the creative possibilities.
As a child, I dreamed of owning a nail studio. Today, I’m proud to run Sugar Rush Studios, which is like entering a Y2K daydream: filled with nostalgic toys, neon signs, disco balls and a bathroom decorated in floor-to-ceiling leopard print. Sugar Rush celebrates individuality, diversity and the confidence that comes from feeling truly seen and valued.
A day in my life
I start my day with self-care, then walk my two Pomeranians. I do house chores and admin, before seeing clients in the afternoon and evening. After work, I visit the gym and take pleasure in creating colourful and delicious dinners. Weekends are all about adventures and good vibes, whether I go on spontaneous nights out or chill with my besties.
Career highlights
Last year, I collaborated with brands including New Balance and Little Moons, was invited to create nail art at the Nike Leeds store opening, and hosted an enchanted fairy rave in my studio, supported by Red Bull. Another highlight is working with a RuPaul’s Drag Race star.

Signature style
I love bringing characters and cartoons to life via nails, particularly during my favourite season for nail art: Valentine’s!
FUN FACT
I trained as a dancer and spent 15 years performing around the country.
My inspirations
My nail art is inspired by Y2K and the nostalgic magic that I grew up with. I’m obsessed with bold and bright outfits, and my nails are an extension of that. I also draw inspiration from nature. Noticing details, like the texture of a petal or colours in a sunset, has helped bring more realism and depth to my work.
What makes me happy
I have a passion for music and love DJing. I recently learned how to fire breathe: something I hope to perform in my favourite place, Ibiza. I also enjoy ‘dopamine dressing’, as embracing playful self-expression brings joy to every day.

Social media tips
My followers started to grow after I opened Sugar Rush. The next big increase came from Greggs-themed nails that went viral in 2021. Designs featuring well-loved characters or trends tend to boost my following most.
My top tips are:
1. Post consistently.
2. Think outside the box.
3. Stay true to yourself and your brand. Uniqueness draws attention!
