Trained with – I began my career with NSI in 2010, and still remember how inspired I felt by my educator on my first day of the Foundation Acrylic course. Today, I’m proud to work for the brand and teach that same course.
Favourite products – I work with both NSI and Roxi nail products. Although L&P acrylic was my preferred system for many years, the launch of builder gel in a bottle led me to explore soft and hard gel options. Half of my clients now opt for gel enhancements. I love creating a gel or L&P structure before adding art with NSI Tech-Gels, and elevating designs with isolated chrome techniques.
Favourite nail technique – I find hand-painting therapeutic and love the effect of one stroke nail art on a matte black base. For salon nails, I enjoy creating French finishes with chrome, metallic or pearl elements. These styles offer quick and effective ways to impress clients.
Favourite nail design – My preference regularly changes, however I think isolated chameleon chrome on an extreme nail shape, such as a Russian almond, looks gorgeous.
Career ambition & vision – I am so content with my career. I teach at NSI UK and Roxi HQ in Manchester, carry out nail services at home for my clients and am preparing to launch online nail courses. In the next 12 months, I would like to introduce a provision for students who struggle in mainstream education, yet seek a vocational career in nails. I’d also love to enter the Scratch Stars Awards and see my work on the front cover of Scratch. Then, after that, world domination!
Who do you admire in the industry? A large part of my passion and fulfilment is thanks to the team at NSI UK. I am offered regular opportunities for growth, and NSI products are exceptional. Scratch Stars Educator of the Year 2025, Michelle Brookes of Michelle Brookes Training Academy, is an incredible mentor who inspires and supports me endlessly. I would love to train with three-time Nailympia Global Cup champion, Olena Oezman. Her work is so precise and I know I would learn a lot from her.
