M ix a super-cool venue with expert nail educators, plenty of sunshine and the infectious energy of Kirsty Meakin, and what do you get? A recipe for a truly exciting event: one that sold out almost instantly and saw 24 techs travel to Florida for five days of learning, artistry and fun.
Kirsty, a world-renowned nail artist & brand owner, first served up The Nail Mansion concept in the UK last May. The ‘hen party meets nail training’ format saw her take over a grand, Grade II listed property in Macclesfield, where attendees elevated their skills, made new friends and had their expectations exceeded. Following its success, it was time for the pro to sprinkle her event style internationally, and she chose the sunshine state.
The venue in Orlando was vast: big enough to house Kirsty and her UK team, and all Nail Mansion USA attendees. “Orlando is known for being where the magic happens,” beams Kirsty, “so I had to bring my signature nail magic!” The premises featured a pool, themed bedrooms and plenty of space for training and evening activities.
Kirsty called upon fellow Booksy ambassadors and esteemed nail techs, Hirsch Hunty and Michelle Soto, to join her in offering educational experiences at the event. The multi award-winning pros and North America’s Star Nail Artist – Season 2 contestants provided training on trending designs and dual forms, while Kirsty showcased how to craft extreme designs.
“Nail Mansion USA was everything I didn’t know I needed and more. There was so much to learn and experience, and I enjoyed doing so alongside talented artists who love this industry as much as I do. Everyone pushed themselves creatively and reminded me that growth never stops.
“The event encouraged me to think bigger, try new things and keep levelling up my craft. It recharged my passion and left my mind overflowing with ideas. The laughs were loud, the creativity was unmatched and the connections made are ones I’ll carry with me for a long time.”

“Educating students at Nail Mansion USA was an unforgettable experience,” shares Hirsch. “I guided them through my techniques, and the techs were not only fun, passionate and courageous, but eager and excited to learn new tips and tricks to fine-tune their nail artistry.”

“The house was a hub of creativity and connection, where nail technicians didn’t simply attend classes, but lived and learned together under one roof,” Kirsty adds. “Each morning, attendees gathered to fuel for the day with coffee and snacks, before training kicked off. The sessions ensured that learners could see the creative processes of Hirsch,
Michelle and myself up close, and we encouraged them to ask questions and get creative with techniques. Learning from educators that many attendees had previously only followed online made the experience even more memorable.”

“Even though I have over 30 years’ experience in the nail industry, I still had questions – and they were answered with the full attention of the educators. I felt seen, and learned so much that I can incorporate into my business.”
Amy Theunissen, Oregon, USA
Techs gained deeper insight into both nail art nd business areas, and each afternoon introduced further demonstrations, discussions and collaborative moments. “Because everyone stayed together at the mansion, the learning and connections never stopped,” Kirsty shares. “Conversations about techniques, business strategies and creative ideas continued around the kitchen, in the lounge and late into the evening.”
The nights welcomed pool parties and hangouts in the main living space, and the attendees – affectionately known as Kirsty’s ‘ducklings’, could visit a mini shop to stock up on products and snap up some Meakin-branded merchandise. The final evening saw an awards ceremony take place, where recognition was given for tasks completed across the five days.
“Nail Mansion USA offered a chance for nail professionals to step away from the daily demands of their working lives, and immerse themselves fully in education and connection with like-minded artists,” Kirsty shares. “In an industry where many pros work independently, this sense of connection can be incredibly powerful.”
So, will we see more of Kirsty’s Nail Mansion events worldwide? “Taking the concept to the USA was a major milestone for my brand,” she reveals. “It demonstrated just how far the Nail Mansion community has grown and the demand that exists for immersive, high-quality nail education.
“Co-ordinating international travel, partnerships and logistics required months of planning and collaboration, but it was totally worth it – and I’d love to take the event to new audiences and communities. Watch this space!”

“Nail Mansion USA was amazing from start to finish. The education was top-tier, great friendships were formed and my Star Wars-themed bedroom was so fun. We were surprised with an ice cream truck too!
“I had lost my motivation, and Nail Mansion USA was just what I needed to reignite my passion for nails and take the next step in my career: opening my own salon.”
