TECH TALK
Michelle Brookes,
Scratch Stars Ultimate Educator
& owner of Beauty Lounge and Michelle Brookes Training Academy, Doncaster, shares how Footlogix
®
performs in her salon environment.
Michelle discovered Footlogix® at the Olympia Beauty trade show in London 12 years ago. “I’ve tried and worked with a variety of professional footcare systems, but was drawn to the brand’s One Foot Challenge: a demonstration of the effectiveness of Footlogix® products in under five minutes,” she says. “After having one foot treated, I could instantly see and feel the difference – and quickly fell in love with the products and their results.
“What impressed me most was that Footlogix® offers more than a traditional pedicure range: its advanced medi-pedi approach is focused on achieving visible results for a variety of foot concerns,” Michelle continues. “I wanted to introduce a system into my salon that would make a genuine difference to clients. My passion for the brand led to me becoming a Footlogix® educator, which allows me to represent a product range that I genuinely believe in, trust and adore.”
When asked what differentiates Footlogix® from other footcare brands, Michelle shares: “It’s unique because of products such as the Callus Softener Spray, which makes removal of calluses and hard skin incredibly easy. I simply spray it directly onto the areas of concern, leave it to work for two to three minutes and file away the softened calluses and skin. My clients love the visible and immediate results, and it’s these that keep them returning for Footlogix® treatments.”
Michelle adds: “My clients notice a visible difference after just one service, however I always explain that results continue to improve with regular treatments and encourage them to book monthly pedicures. I find that one month is the ideal amount of time between appointments to keep feet in excellent condition.
“I also recommend suitable homecare products to maintain the best possible results between salon visits. The At Home Foot File and Callus Softener are brilliant for helping clients keep on top of hard skin and calluses. I particularly enjoy retailing Footlogix® mousses, as these are tailored to a wide variety of skin types and foot concerns.”
Flexible footcare
Michelle’s pedicure clients are all serviced using Footlogix® products, as she cites: “Some clients visit with specific foot concerns, such as cracked heels, calluses and rough, dry skin, which require targeted treatment. Others visit for regular maintenance and to keep their feet looking and feeling their best. Footlogix® is suitable for everyone, and its range can be tailored to meet each client’s needs.
“It’s an incredibly versatile system that allows us to offer different treatment options – from a regular pedicure to a deluxe version. We also use the products as part of a paraffin wax pedicure, and they are suitable to incorporate alongside a gel polish service.”
Salon speak
During Beauty Lounge pedicure treatments, a Footlogix® mousse is applied before the pro begins a foot massage. “The team uses this opportunity to explain the product’s benefits and recommend the most suitable mousse for the client to use at home,” Michelle reveals. “Footlogix® mousses go much further than a traditional foot cream, making them cost-effective as only a walnut-sized amount is needed for each application. They have a lightweight, non-occlusive formula that absorbs quickly, without leaving a slippery or greasy finish, and hydrate the skin for up to 24 hours.
“Using Dermal Infusion Technology® , the mousses deliver active ingredients into the layers of the skin where they are needed, targeting specific concerns such as dryness, cracked heels, rough skin and calluses. Clients love how easy and pleasant the mousses are to use, and appreciate their combination of long-lasting, non-greasy hydration and value for money,” Michelle explains.
A passionate advocate of Footlogix® , Michelle also praises the brand’s business persona, stating: “There are multiple training options, and professional support is always readily available. The products are results-driven, fully compliant and presented professionally and beautifully. Footlogix® is a brand that I feel proud and confident to work with and recommend to other professionals.”

Michelle Brookes attended the Footlogix® Train the Trainer event at the brand’s HQ in Canada in 2022, where she not only immersed in the footcare system, but took a hike to Niagara Falls with the team.
“After our trek to the Falls, we attended seminars and watched demonstrations of the Footlogix® range,” says Michelle. “It was wonderful to meet brand founder, Katharin von Gavel, along with the team responsible for developing the products and training. The entire trip made me feel more connected to the brand.”

Michelle continues: “I deliver Footlogix® courses on behalf of Sweet Squared. Students complete an online theory class, which gives them foundational knowledge about the products and professional protocol. They then attend a practical training day, where we recap the theory and reinforce their understanding, before exploring the professional kit and how each product is used.
“I demonstrate the complete Footlogix® treatment from start to finish, then each student performs this on a model under my guidance. This gives them the opportunity to develop practical skills, ask questions and build confidence. We also discuss ways to market Footlogix® successfully, including how to use the One Foot
Challenge to demonstrate the visible difference between treated and untreated feet, attract new clients and promote treatment benefits.”
