Imaginative nail artist, HOPE IVEKICH, shares her go-to nail products & favourite creations
Name – Hope Ivekich Age – 28
Business name – That Nail Place
Location – Alfreton, Derbyshire, UK Time in nails – 12 years
Favourite products – I feel that the nail industry is really exciting at present, as pros are gaining access to more products from around the world: particularly Japan and Korea. I use Korean products to create most of my nail designs, including the Jin.B Crazy Top Thick, which is ideal for 3D elements. I also love Énoi Water Powders, which are smooth chrome powders, and the Function of Vex nail art products. I use the brand’s pigment powders almost every day.
Favourite nail technique – I primarily work on natural nails, so enjoy taking care of my clients’ nails using high-quality gel and nailcare products. I also find joy in helping them to work towards their nail goals with care and attention.
Favourite nail design – This changes daily, but chrome and 3D finishes have my heart. Most clients leave their appointments with shiny, 3D enhancements!
Career ambition & vision – If I can continue doing what I love and working with good people, I’ll be happy.
Who do you admire in the industry? There are so many people! The nail game has changed dramatically in the past five years and techs are doing wild things. Vivian Xue Rahey (@vivxue) is a magician, and I love the work of San Sung Kim (@sansungnails), Madison McCollough (@ballpit_addict) and Anouska Anastasia (@anouskaanastasia).
