Kiki Yorkshire

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

“Kiki Yorkshire is a safe space, where people feel comfortable, connected and completely at ease,” shares owner, Khristie Lawton. The premises, based just outside Doncaster city centre, opened in December 2024, and has a ‘deeply personal’ design. “I grew up in a Victorian home, where I spent much of my time in my mum and dad’s living room, which was calm, cosy and comforting,” she continues. “I wanted to recreate the same vibe within the salon’s Victorian building.” Warm tones and soft lighting ease clients into relaxation mode, while gold accents on furniture and artwork indicate the indulgence of the services offered.

Khristie works alongside senior technician, Charlotte, and nail pro, Leah. Together, they create a ‘supportive, professional environment’. The team specialises in natural nailcare, offering structured gel manicures – with and without nail art – as well as Elim pedicures. Bio Sculpture products and The Nail Lab’s NU:gel system are used, and treatments can be elevated with add-ons, such as the Luxe Hydration Ritual: a restorative hand treatment.

“The salon is a place where I can collect my thoughts and appreciate the good around me,” Khristie smiles. “It brings a peace I didn’t realise I needed, and I’m so grateful for that. My hope for the future is simple: growth with purpose. I want to see the salon evolve into a bigger space, while maintaining its ethos and offering greater opportunities. I’d love to welcome fresh talent, try new ideas and continue raising the bar for the salon experience.”

Cutiecles Nail Salon

Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Cutiecles Nail Salon is the passion project of Rebecca Bellanfante, a nail technician with 10 years’ industry experience. She opened its doors in 2020, keen to foster a more personal connection with clients, after working for a number of years as a mobile and home-based pro. “I wanted a salon that reflected my brand: a calm, professional environment where nails and client care are prioritised,” Rebecca shares. “The décor was pink and rose gold, until I returned from maternity leave last year and refreshed the space.”

Cutiecles Nail Salon is ‘calm, minimal and inviting’, with neutral and earthy tones featured alongside natural textures. “The space feels peaceful and grounded, and offers clients a retreat to relax in and escape the hustle of everyday life,” she continues. “Key features include a curated retail area with cuticle oils, hand and foot creams. The theme reflects my approach to nails: simple and nurturing.”

The business attracts a mix of professionals, busy mums and clients who prioritise self-care and long-term nail health. The most popular treatment is a builder gel manicure, and Rebecca also offers gel polish enhancements, medi-pedis and toenail reconstruction services using brands including HONA, The GelBottle Inc, Navy Professional and Elim. “In the long term, I’d love for Cutiecles to be known not just as a salon, but a destination for expert care, professional development and empowering beauty,” the business owner & educator shares. “I’m building something that can evolve with me, and that feels really special.”
