Georgia Does Nails

Location: Netley, Hampshire

After working as a property manager and discovering her passion for nails during lockdown, Georgia Steel qualified as a nail tech in 2022. She worked in a salon, but a desire for flexibility and balance fuelled her to create a studio in her garden. “I begged my dad to fly home from Australia to build it for me,” she laughs. “He agreed and two weeks later, Georgia Does Nails was ready to welcome clients.”

The space is calm and serene. “I love bohemian styling, similar to a beach club in Ibiza, so my salon features rattan furniture, natural fabrics, plants and mirrors for a chilled vibe,” Georgia shares.

The nail pro offers manicures, pedicures and toenail reconstruction, using The GelBottle Inc products and hard gel. Georgia also specialises in bridal nails. “There was a gap in my area to accommodate brides seeking wedding nail treatments,” she explains. “I love helping them get ready for their special days and being part of the excitement. I offer trials in the lead-up, and we plan nail designs and colours together.” Grateful to be ‘booked and busy’, Georgia’s focus is on continued success for her salon.

Sorella Collective

Location: Taunton, Somerset

Sorella Collective is the culmination of years of experience, love and skill. “The salon has our hearts,” share founders, Charlotte Murphy and Catherine Bunning. “It’s where we lift people up, share genuine moments and create a space that feels like home for the team and everyone who walks through the door.”

Following the success of their previous salon, Lavender Rooms, the pair embarked on a new adventure in November 2025, by opening the doors to Sorella Collective. A carefully selected blend of browns, sand and tonal textures characterise the space. “We chose this colour palette because it complements all hair and nail trends, offering a cool, understated feel,” comment Charlotte and Catherine.

The salon’s team of 12 includes hair stylists, skin experts and nail specialists, who offer builder gel and hard gel services, gel polish overlays and nail extensions. “We’re professionals at our core, but have a spirited, uplifting energy that makes every client feel welcomed and every visit enjoyable,” the owners reveal.

Looking to the future, the pair is focused on continuing to satisfy clients and grow the business. Charlotte and Catherine say: “We want to keep delivering exceptional results, while challenging ourselves to step beyond our comfort zones.”
