My nail journey
I had just finished studying Fashion Promotion at Cardiff University in 2019 when my mother remembered that while in high school, I enjoyed painting mine and my family’s nails, and exploring different nail art techniques. She shared details of a nail course she had discovered that was 20 minutes from where I lived, and said: “If you want to go, your dad said he’d pay.” The rest is history!
I moved back to my home town and launched Jazzy Nails. The pandemic meant I could practice and post my work while people were consuming social media like never before. Each lift and ease of lockdown brought new, like-minded clients to my business who followed me on Instagram and share a passion for fun, different nail art.
I designed my salon using colours and shapes that bring joy. It’s a space that is suited to my personality and style.
What makes me happy
My friends contribute to my happiness and lend a hand or shoulder when I need it. My family is also very close-knit. The way we choose to be around each other is one of life’s biggest triumphs.
My inspirations
These can range from mugs, pillows and wallpaper to a client’s wedding outfit. I try to photograph anything I think would look good on nails.
Social media tips
From May to December 2025, my Instagram following grew from 6K to 11K. It feels wonderful to have such a big audience, but I don’t let it rule my life. I share my work for existing and future clients to get inspired and see what I offer.

A day in my life
A typical workday consists of five clients. I start at 9am, have a break at 3pm to eat, hydrate and go for a walk, then finish work at 7:30pm. After, I cook, clean, eat and sleep! On Wednesdays, I finish at the salon earlier so I can head to a dancing and singing session with Newtown Musical Theatre Company.
Career highlights
I’ve enjoyed working with hand and nailcare brand, NIBA, as a brand ambassador, and collaborating twice with NAILMAIL. A highlight to come is my first live masterclass, which will be at Niche Nail Network in Birmingham next month.
NAIL ART ADVICE
• Work with nail products that have a consistency you love.
• Figure out which brush length you’re most comfortable painting with. It’s OK to have more than one for different areas.
• Use little product and light brush pressure to achieve smooth lines.
