Location – Ingleton, North Yorkshire waxing and facials. I am focused on the growth of the business, and would also like to start offering one-to-one nail art classes. I adore nail art, as freehand designs allow me to express my creativity and bring each client’s vision to life. No two nail styles are ever the same! I’m keen to share my passion with the next generation of nail pros.
Years in nails – I have been a hair and beauty professional for over 11 years and worked in settings including salons, spas and health clubs.

Favourite product – Magpie Beauty’s Give Me Strength Plus gel helps my clients’ nail looks last for four weeks with no chips or breaks.
Favourite nail technique – I love offering gel overlays, as it’s satisfying to protect the natural nail while it grows. Supporting the natural nail is imperative, and the ethos I promote as a nail professional.
Favourite nail design – I enjoy hand-painting leopard print and floral nail styles. Tiny brushstrokes can transform simple looks into mini masterpieces.
Career ambition & vision – I opened my salon one year ago in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, and have an amazing team of six ladies who rent space from me and provide a range of treatments: from massage to hair,
Who do you admire in the industry? Over the years, I’ve built a wonderful network of talented, genuine and kind-hearted techs on Instagram who inspire me daily. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of them at events, and it’s amazing how online connections can blossom into real friendships.
It can be easy to fall into the comparison trap when scrolling through everyone’s best work on social media. However, I’ve learned that growth and happiness come from collaboration, not competition. I admire nail techs who support one another; it’s so inspiring to see artists celebrating each other’s achievements, sharing tips and lifting each other up. That’s what keeps the passion and creativity in our industry alive.
When we network, share knowledge and cheer each other on, we create a stronger, more positive community – one where everyone can thrive and shine together.
