Molly Gregory honed her business skills as a mobile nail artist before stepping into salon environments. In 2024, the pro sadly lost her grandad to motor neurone disease, and it was her nan who offered her an opportunity to build her dream nail business. “I saw my nan every week to ensure she wasn’t lonely, and we decided that I would build a salon in her garden,” Molly explains. “This allowed me to expand my business, and I get to see my nan daily. It’s a win-win!”

Nails By Mol has a neutral colour palette, as Molly is focused on creating a welcoming, homely feel. “My clients say the aesthetic of the salon helps alleviate anxiety,” she shares. Her wish is that the space encourages parents to carve out time for themselves amidst busy schedules. “As a working mum, I know how hard it can be to find time to enjoy a treatment, and I hope that parents never feel ashamed to bring their children to appointments. I want them to feel understood.”

Molly offers builder gel, gel polish and hard gel services, plus Aprés Nail Gel-X extensions, using products including Glitterbels Builder-Bel Gel and Naio Nails Urban Graffiti Gel Polish. Looking to the future, she hopes to continue growing her client base and social media following to allow her to ‘flourish as a content creator’. “I would like to open a training academy where I can deliver nail art and application education,” she says.

Pure Nails by Rachel

Location: Newtown, Wales

“Every client that visits Pure Nails by Rachel receives a luxurious service with a nail finish suited to their style,” says salon owner, Rachel Lewis. The nail professional moved her business into The Beauty Hub – ‘a team of talented professionals working under one roof’ – in 2023, devoting three months to transform the space into a calming retreat. “I spent more time with a paintbrush than a nail brush during the build, but it was worth it,” she smiles.

Rachel’s focus was on creating ‘a timeless, sophisticated atmosphere’. “Every detail – from the soft lighting to the sleek, stylish furniture – was carefully chosen to help clients feel pampered and special,” she shares.

As The Beauty Hub’s sole nail specialist, Rachel’s treatments are in high demand, and her offering includes classic manicures and pedicures, gel extensions and custom nail art. “My most popular services are gel polish overlays in red or cat eye finishes,” she reveals. The pro uses The GelBottle Inc, Lecenté and Bio Sculpture products, commenting that the brands allow her to ’deliver flawless, professional results’.

Considering the next chapter, Rachel intends to expand her skillset, explore new techniques and share a passion for nailcare, while maintaining the high-quality, personal experience her clients love.
