Marvel over the masterful location-inspired nails crafted for the second NASNA challenge
The second of six monthly nail art challenges unveiled nail brand, Glitterbels, as its sponsor, and the team conceptualised a fun brief centred around company co-founder, Annabel Maginnis. Contestants had two weeks to imagine and craft their designs, plus create a video sharing key techniques. The final step in the entry process was to submit a write-up explaining the reasons behind core elements featured on the nails.
Let your creativity shine through the chosen city’s vibe, culture and colour palette, while maintaining the signature pink, sparkly, high-gloss glamour that defines the Glitterbels brand.
Contestants were given a choice of six destinations to inspire their designs: New York City; Los Angeles; Austin, Texas; Banff, Canada; Mexico City and Orlando, Florida. Glitterbels products were to be incorporated, and the finished nail design had to be at least 50% pink, featuring any tone or finish.
There were no restrictions on products, embellishments or techniques – and fantasy meets avant-garde styling was encouraged to tell a story of Annabel’s adventure across fingernails.
The submissions have been assessed and scored by the judging panel, and those with the lowest scores completed an additional task on a single nail to fight for their place in the contest. The results can be viewed on Scratch’s social media channels.
Successful contestants go on to compete in the third challenge, which commences on January 1.
