My nail journey
I’ve always been creative and dabbled in nail art, but I uncovered a true passion for it during lockdown, when I watched online tutorials and had time to unleash my creativity.
What makes me happy
My family is so important to me, and I don’t work at weekends so that I can spend time with them. I also enjoy playing netball and am a bit of a film nerd. media
This or that?
Mani or pedi? Mani.
Maximalist or minimalist? Minimalist.
Spring/summer or autumn/winter? Autumn/winter.
My inspirations
I glean ideas from everything, and can often be spotted taking photos of cute prints. Instagram is also bursting at the seams with amazing, inspirational nail techs.
Top post
My most popular post is a picture of evil eye and gold leaf nails that I created for my holiday to Greece in 2022.
A day in my life
I start with the school run, before visiting Starbucks for a decaf oat latte. The majority of my day involves client appointments, and I finish in time for the school pick-up. I then spend time with my family and do two hours of content editing and social media work.
Fave trend
I am a big fan of chrome, even though I have a love-hate relationship with pigment application. The product offers a beautiful finish, which is why I opted for silver chrome French tips for my wedding nails.

Career highlight
I started using The GelBottle Inc (TGB) four months into my nail journey and fell in love with Builder In A BottleTM (BIAB™). I was asked to be a brand ambassador 10 months after qualifying, and in this role I give feedback on products and create promotional content.
3 WORDS TO DESCRIBE MYSELF: Creative, competitive, sporty.
Social media advice
My social media following skyrocketed when I posted a picture of a blue French manicure in 2020. Following this, I gained around 9,000 followers in a couple of months.
My top social media tips are:
1. Be present. This doesn’t have to mean spending all day posting; I post around four times per week and daily on my story when working.
2. Support fellow nail techs. Sharing designs, commenting on posts and interacting with techs will benefit you. Someone might return the favour, which will get your business noticed.
3. Time your posts. I try to post at peak times at least twice a week. Also, align posts with seasonal trends, for example share red and pink nails – even if from your archives – in the lead up to Valentine’s Day.
