Demo: Halo’s Stained Glass collection

Halo VIP, Michaela Phillips, went live with Scratch to demo the brand’s Stained Glass gel polish collection.

She shared how to create a stained glass window nail look, before giving a tour of the Pure Nails training rooms at Enhance Nail & Beauty Emporium, Kent.

What we’re wearing...

A colourful brushstroke creation by @nails.byabb inspired Helena’s summery nail look, which was replicated onto builder gel enhancements by Dartford nail tech, Rebecca Ellis of @beautyby__beck.

The look was an apt one to wear for the launch of the North America’s Star Nail Artist competition, which encourages artistic expression.

Nails & Brows Mayfair nail technician, Simona, was on hand to transform Rebecca’s nails during her visit to the salon. After prepping nails, she applied shimmering pink-purple CND ShellacTM hue, Beckoning Begonia, and finished the service with a relaxing hand massage.

Out and about

Helena jetted to Florida for the annual Premiere Orlando trade event, which hosted the fourth Nailympia Orlando competition and the first Scratch Social networking event. Across the two-day show, she mingled with nail pros and brand founders and attended CND™’s Bubbles & Beauty event, hosted by CND™ co-founder, Jan Arnold. The Scratch Social took place on the evening of 2 June and was a sellout – with 300 nail pros attending to hear an exciting announcement: the launch of the North America’s Star Nail Artist competition, powered by Scratch. The first 100 attendees received a goody bag, and Helena went onstage to offer insight into the contest before inviting representatives from its sponsor brands to say a few words.

Rebecca headed to London to explore luxury boutique salon, Nails & Brows Mayfair, which celebrated 10 years in business in March. She was given a tour of the space and the HQ of sister company, Beauty Edit Mayfair, which sells a selection of conscious beauty products. Between the premises, nail, brow, lash, waxing and facial treatments are offered, and Rebecca was treated to a CND ShellacTM manicure. Following this, she interviewed founder of Nails & Brows Mayfair and Beauty Edit Mayfair, Sherrille Riley, about the brands and their stories of success.
