Editor's Letter
July is a very exciting month for the team at Scratch HQ, as it marks the launch of a new nail contest: North America’s Star Nail Artist, and the announcement of the Scratch Stars Awards winners 2024, who will be revealed at the annual Scratch Stars Party. It’s so important to us that we champion creativity and reward success, as it builds profiles and helps raise standards across our sector. Oh, and we also love an excuse to mingle and celebrate with members of this vibrant industry.
A question I pose to you is: what does success look like in your nail realm? Is it to open your own nail space, master a technique or receive great feedback from a client? Whatever it may be, write it down as a goal and reflect on it regularly to monitor your progress. This will maintain your focus on achieving it, and when you do, celebrate!
Too often we can get caught up in the daily grind and forget to give ourselves a pat on the back for a job well done. Those that work in a nail team: sit down with your colleagues and share what you admire about one another. Independent pros: update your social media followers on your achievements and be your own biggest cheerleader. Never be afraid to shout about your success, as it’s one way to ensure your clients recognise your worth and remember your business.
